Our surgeons focus on your specific needs and individual goals and provide comprehensive follow-through and support after treatment.
A specialized approach to general surgery
We understand that the idea of getting surgery can be frightening, and we work hard to address your concerns and questions at every point of care. We pride ourselves in approaching each patient with both professionalism and empathy.
Surgical services we offer
Our treatments and procedures, both open and laparoscopic, include the following:
- Abdominal and intestinal surgery
- Bariatric surgery
- Breast surgery
- Gallbladder surgery
- Heller myotomy (treatment for achalasia, or esophageal disease)
- Hernia surgeries
- Melanoma and skin cancer surgery
- Nissen fundoplication (treatment for gastro-esophageal reflux disease, or GERD)
- Thyroid, parathyroid, pancreatic and adrenal surgeries
What is bariatric surgery?
One of the services we offer and perform most frequently is bariatric surgery, which is more commonly known as weight-loss surgery. It could be an effective treatment option for you if you have been diagnosed with morbid obesity and have not had success losing weight through other means.
There is more than one kind of weight loss surgery. We most often conduct biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch (BPD/DS), sleeve gastrectomy, and gastric bypass procedures, and will work with you and your doctor to find the best option for you and your circumstances.
We offer a full range of the latest surgical techniques and procedures to treat patients with breast cancer. We work closely with a highly skilled group of radiologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists and hematology oncologists to meet the specific needs of each patient. We work in conjunction with this multidisciplinary team to provide individualized treatment plans for each patient, ensuring timely surgical intervention and optimal patient outcomes.
Skin cancer surgery
Skin lesions can include warts, moles, cysts or suspicious masses. Removal is indicated in circumstances where the lesion is causing pain, has had suspicious changes over time, is restricting movement or is unsightly. Usually removal can be performed in the office or in an outpatient surgery center where you will go home the same day. The specimen excised will undergo pathologic review and further treatment will be determined post-operatively.
Exceptional technology; exceptional results
We understand how valuable your health is, and we want to be sure you and your loved ones are as comfortable as possible throughout the process. Our team of surgeons perform the vast majority of abdominal surgery laparoscopically, and whenever appropriate we can use robotic aides during your procedure to make sure you recover faster and get back to normal.
