Dr. Asif Jawaid grew up in Nashville, TN and attended undergrad at University of Tennessee- Knoxville, graduating with honors in Microbiology. He attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Georgia Campus. Dr. Jawaid is a firm believer in preventative cardiology and strongly influenced by Benjamin Franklin's philosophy, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. While he practices as an interventional cardiologist, he wholeheartedly believes the bedrock of cardiology is medical therapy rather than invasive approach, with invasive approach only to be considered when medical therapy and conservative approach fails.
